Its Christmas Time - Part 1

Well, it is that time of year again. Here are some pictures that I took the last couple of weeks. Some of the photos were taken last weekend when we got together with the family on my moms side. Plus Gabriel got a sled from Grammy and Ghedo for Christmas, thankfully there was a bit of snow on the ground so he could try it out.

It's not CHRISTMAS without a tree!

So last week we finally got our Christmas tree.

We only had our Honda Fit to bring the tree home. One thing that I didn't realize when picking out the tree was that it was about 9ft (3m) tall. So we ended up having to strap the tree to the top of the car.

The second pic is when we finally got some lights put up and balanced the tree so it wasn't leaning to one side.

The final picture is the tree fully decorated with lights and ornaments. And for some reason there are gifts that are starting to appear under the tree!

Independence

I was taking a Boston harbor cruise and I ended up taking a couple hundred photos of this American flag to try and get the shot I was looking for. For those that don't know Boston is where the American Revolution started and the United States was on its way to gaining independence.

Bonding Time

I spent this past week helping my sister and her husband move from their apartment to their new house in Minneapolis. The benefit of this was that I got to spend a lot of time bonding with my nephew, Gabriel. I didn't take a lot of pictures due to working on projects but here are a few good one that I took.

Green Bay Packers versus Denver Broncos

I went to the Packers football game on Sunday with my dad. It was a great day for a football game, the weather was about 70 degrees and clear skies. The game was quite exciting as there was lots of interceptions, rushing yards and most importantly touchdowns by the Packers. Aaron Rodgers even ran the ball a couple times, resulting in at least two touchdowns. The final score at the end of the fourth quarter was 49-23 for another win by Green Bay. This leave the Packers at 4-0 for the season overall. Here a a few pictures that I took while I was at the game.

Apple QuickTake 100

I was going through some of my boxes of stuff and found this piece of history. The Apple QuickTake 100 was one of the first consumer digital cameras out in the market. It was launched in 1994 with a resolution of 640 x 480 or about .3 megapixels. At full resolution it could store about 8 images before the memory was full.

Fall Ride 2011

I decided to take the motorcycle for a short fall ride as the colors are changing.  The weather was a bit unpredictable as it rained at one point, but it is fun to get out and ride the motorcycle despite the weather. A friend once told me, "if you wait for the weather you will never ride."  Also believe it or not but my motorcycle is 26 years old already!!
